PW announced in its February 2 issue that four editors, including editor-in-chief Sara Nelson and longtime exectuvie editor Daisy Maryles, were let go citing “the all-too-familiar crises in the U.S. economy.” Brian Kenney has been appointed editorial director, and Jim Million and Michael Coffey will handle the day-to-day operations. Kenney is editor-in-chief of PW sister publication School Library Journal; before that, he was executive editor of Library Journal. Kenney will now be editorial director of all three magazines.
